I need some help regarding the size of my photos on my web site. I currently have the privacy setting at L3.

Someone told me that setting is too high and people could be stealing high resolution photos from me.

What is the "best" setting to safeguard my photos from piracy?

Hi, as a power customer, you can block Originals and even down to XL as your largest size. You can disable sharing and also add right click protection. These are settings in your gallery settings (tools button>gallery settings)

As a Pro, you can add watermarks on your display copies. http://smugmug.com/pro

Any size above Medium allows people to make 'decent' prints if that's what they're after. And medium is plenty for the online world of facebook.

But if your images are good enough to steal, maybe you need to upgrade to pro, start watermarking, and start selling them. mwink.gif If you haven't had an issue yet, I'd wait and see what happens.
