I dug out my old 50mm, f1.2 and tried my old eyes with some manual focus wide open. The light was nice after swimming and this lens is dreamy wide open.

I don't see a point of sharp focus in the first one and in the second one the eye on the right appears to be sharp, but nothing else.

I noticed this too. I shoot with 1.2 lenses all the time and know you can get sharper focus on the eyes than this.

that's the difficulty with shooting wide open at F1.2, miss the focal plane by even a millimeter and it's going to be blurred

still good photos tho, she's very cute!

Thanks. Part of the challenge shooting wide open with this MF lens is trying to nail the focus with my old eyes.
