I am curious to see what anyone thinks of this system and if they have used it. I think I want to upgrade past my cybersyncs and move up to pocketwizards for my remotes. I read information about the mini and flex (I could just get the plus II).
Anyone have any experience with those items from pocketwizards?

If you are looking for eTTL and second curtain sync they are a good way to go. Adding the AC3 zone controller to the mix is pretty much a must, I think. With it from your camera you can switch remote flash groups between manual and eTTL, and adjust level / flash compensation. So even if you use them just for manual being able to adjust the outputs of the flash groups from your camera is really useful.
If you use 580 EX's and set them up more than about 30 feet from the camera then you should condsider the AC7 hard shield because of the noise the 580's produce might interfere with the signal. I've never had a problem with interference but my flashes are never that far from the camera. Actually the AC7 is also useful because it gives you a few extra ways to attach the flash to the flash stand too, even if interference isn't problem.
They add a lot more controls to adjust though so until you are used to them it's easy to have one thing set wrong and throw everything off. But once you get the hang of things they are reliable. Of course YMMV.
