Great composition, perfect depth of field, but it's underexposed on her face. I'm also not a big fan of ornaments, especially when they're bigger than the kid's head, but some people love them.

Lol, to be honest. I did not have any kind of props for a baby shoot, so her mom brought a bunch of headbands to use and I used some of my daugther's baby blankets I had still. I was so nervous about this shoot.

I thought the exposure on the rest of the pic was fine. A little careless on the dodging...

I think the reprocessed version is much better. I am a terrible person to ask about writing on photographs. I think it looks terribly tacky. However, if the client likes it, do it.
Please feel free to post any reworks you do of my images. Crop, skew, munge, edit, share.

Ya, I definitely know that what the customer wants they get. I tell ya what, this shoot made me so nervous since it was my first baby besides my own daughter to photograph. Luckily, lil Brooklyn loved the camera!

What do you guys think of this one?

Should I try to get rid of the decor on the diaper? How is the lighting? Color?

These are great shots. I wouldn't try to get rid of the printing on the diaper. No one makes white disposable diapers anymore so the prints add to the picture I think.

I'm impressed with the way an on camera flash turned out here. You did a great job.

Thank you very much! I practiced and practiced on what angles to shoot with my flash and it ended up being having the flash straight up hitting the ceiling worked best. Some shots I didnt turn my flash around and ended up hitting the side walls instead of what I wanted, (which is what happened on the first picture I believe where her face is a little darker) but all in all I believe it worked really good. I know I am going to have to get an umbrella to use, but for now this will have to do.
