The Wall

Hi you'll,

A while back I mentioned that Linda and I were going to use a "splash" of pictures on the wall of our living room. We've been decorating our new home for the last year or so and Linda got a decorator to help us. He liked my pictures and decided to use them throughout the house.

Picking out the pics was the hardest part. Linda hates raptors, especially caracaras and loves Walt Disney. There went all my favorite eating shots. :rolleyes

Anyhow I promised to show a few pics when we got the wall finished. Here they are

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

With your photographic ability you should be able to fill every wall in your house.

That looks really nice. It shows that you don't need to print up monster sized photos and hang them. Anyone with a decent P&S could acheive this result if they pick a theme.

A great idea, great result and a nice tip for the rest of us.

That looks really nice. The small photos are very effective. It shows that you don't need to print up monster sized photos to hang them.
Someone with a decent P&S can also achieve a pleasing feature such as this at home if they pick the right theme.

In the beginnning--I was thinking to myself--gosh--the white sofa--the dirty dog feet--but then I saw that Eric (4labs) played a bit with photoshop.

Looks really nice--with and without the dog.

You can say that again Darryl. Oh you did. rolleyes1.gif

You're right that you don't need monster size prints. We will be doing most of the house with 8X12 frames. We are only going to go larger in the family room. Some of the prints will be from my ole 717.

Harry, went to sleep about 1 PM or 1:30. Didn't wake up til now. The dogs paid for their trip to the beach, but they were asleep, too. When they woke up, haha, they were circling me to remind me that they had missed their 2 PM feeding.

I saw your wall before I went to bed, I love it. I love those things and your photos look fantastic!

Keeping them straight is a problem with small photos, especially a wall of them.
I think you could start with one, do them all and start at the beginning again rt away. Perhaps you could ask you decorator how you could "hold" them in place and use a level to place them.

That comes to mind right now. I love the group, really do. Such nice photos!

Personally, I would have much trouble choosing. Maybe you could get bunches of the same frames, add photos to different frames, then cycle what is up there. I have one very old 16 X 20 frame that I can change photos in. That frame has seen many different photos over the 30 or more yrs I have had it.

    Nice wall!

    hey Michal,

It looks nice w/o the dog. My policy on pets is that they are ok as long as they feed themselves and clean-up after themsleves. Hmmm, good thing Linda doesn't apply that policy towards me.
