I'm not much of a wildlife photographer but here are a couple of shots I got the other day at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in California. I was glad to see that clean up efforts have been pretty successful. I didn't see the piles of trash they had there a while ago....

I'm thinking this one qualifies for the photo assignment....

I love the moss on the bank in the first shot Erich. Glad the clean up efforts are going well. The place I like to shoot is just gross some times. But being in a heavily populated area I can't really find many clean places to shoot without driving a long ways. What lens did you use for these?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to the construction finishing as well but it does seem like it will be a long while....

I used a cheapy 70-300 mm Quantarray lens for these. Shot at 218 mm and f/8, 1/500 sec exposure at ISO 400 with Canon Digital Rebel 300D. Underexposed by 1 stop and pushed in Photoshop in post-processing.

I'm saving for a nicer telephoto...I'm getting spoiled with my 17-40 mm f/4L Canon lens....
