Really like the black and white. I like the tones.

Loved the conversion on #1, Don. The texture, detail, and composition is really good. Personally, Your second image appeals stronger for me. I love how your strongly positioned the shed on the top right. Also, you in a very subtle way, you gave me 3 focus points forming a strong triangular area on the frame to pin my attention namely the shed, the worn out sandal, and the piece of plywood lying on the ground. I am very much intrigued as to how you would convert #2 in b&w? :Dthumb.gif Awesome work, Don. Cheers. thumb.gifthumbthumb.gifclap.gifclapclap.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

jiro, thanks very much, particularly for noticing the compositional features.

The second one was a blend of the color shot and a black-and-white converstion. This is the bw version...not enough separation to stand on its own, I think.
