Hi, Spring is in the air over here in Western Australia and the 'Bob-Tail Skinks' are coming out of hibernation. The are harmless - their bark (hiss) is worse than their bite!

Thanks for looking in. C&C always appreciated.

Cheers, Richard.

Hi Richard, fortunately not the fire breathing type! Glad you liked the shot.

    Cheers, Richard.

Very well done. Love the photo, but am glad we don't have those. They would scare my kids to death!

Call that a tongue! THIS is a tongue.......! When they get really angry - that's when they stick their tongue out, hence their nickname, a 'blue tongue' lizard. This lizard is about 25cm long (not including the tongue) rolleyes1.gif

Hi Phil, glad you like the photo. Before the days of computers and TV's, kids would keep these as pets (although you need a licence to do it these days). The adults mate for life and 'sniff out' their partner every spring.

    Cheers, Richard.
