Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. This area is called Forest Canyon Overlook. It was taken from Trail Ridge Road which runs along the "spine" of the Rocky Mountains. It may have been September, but there was plenty of snow on the peaks. It was mighty chilly here too.

Nice shot. You must have been up pretty high...almost looks like the photo was taken from the air. I think you could crop out some of the sky to emphasize the mountains. Any more shots from the park?

Thanks. The elevation was somewhere around 11,000 feet. The highest elevation on the road is around 12,000. Here's another picture from another area of the park. This is Sprague Lake.

Nice shots. RMNP is one of the most photogenic places I have visited. I didn't have a DSLR when I last visited it but, would love to go back now...
