Lovely color in the first shot Ginger but I think it's time for a sensor cleaning.

    tHANKS, DOG!

That is funny re the title, now I say that tongue twister pretty easily. I was so concerned about the colors, I couldn't think of titles. Not off hand.

Like that first one, the second one has the same colors, I just brought out more yellow........................I am color challenged tonight.

Also with the shell, I have a bunch of different versions of the first shell, I could have made it the same color as the second one, but I went for more yellow.

And I know I am just supposed to please myself, but how would I ever please a client...........ala the last, or any, challenge, if I just decide to please myself. So I like all the colors, don't know which to go with.

Anyone who has sensor ideas, I have a blower. Until after tax time, I can't buy a whole bunch of that stuff, like the search suggests. We are in a very bad time that way with the PC, the dogs and the vets, etc. So, please, if someone has a cheaper suggestion. I just don't want to go in there and hurt the sensor.

Thanks, for commenting, dog. Loved the humor, too.

    Ginger,

Well....what can I say? I am still recovering from the little girl in the dog park shot! Like 'em all but, if I were pressed, I would have to pick the "Seashell by the Shesore" pic.

    Thanks for sharing,

Without trying to look as if I am on an advertising or product recommending spree, try the SensorSweep from www.copperhillimages.com I have just purchased the brush. The problem is that the sensor charges up and attracts dust. All that the blower will do is move the dust around, or worse, the blower will blow additional dust onto the sensor.

Thanks all. I wanted to post this before I go to bed. It is the same photo as the second one from the top, but the colors are much different. I am having a lot of trouble making those decisions.

Do any of you run into problems like this, etc. Boy, tired again.

Thanks all for posting and commenting. I will check the brush out. The problem I was seeing right off, is that most of the recommended kits and stuff run about 100.00, and I just plain don't have it. What I have I have to keep in reserve, now one of my dogs is limping again..........I think it is always something, but this is a terrible time of year to think of "buying" something, even as important as the sensor stuff. I know 100.00 does not compare to the price of the camera and lenses. But I didn't buy any of that stuff in the fall, either.

    Smile,

    ginger, thanks again!:D

    Hi Ginger,

I think you have a great eye. I've been "lurking" around for awhile and I really enjoy every picture you post. Hopefully, I'll achieve this level some day.

    Looking forward to seeing more!!

Mel, et al, but Mel, this time,

I just want to say that this is not a "level", this is being there at some godaweful time in the morning, lying down to take a picture of a shell, feeling the water flow over and under, holding camera up high, deciding what the hell, and just continuing to shoot from whatever angle one is in.

It is also having a lot of memory to waste, then you will just keep shooting. The law of averages usually goes to work.

My problem is "being there". Sweet light time is sleepy, be at home relaxing time, but if I am there, something usually comes out. Often not what I went for, too. I went for birds. Got nary a one at the beach.

    Smile,

I really appreciate the comments, love it, Mel,

Great colors, Ginger. You have a great eye and often think outside the box and it works for you much better than it ever does for me.

I'd lose unless you are really saying something. But you do great without listening to every dumb thing I suggest.
    If not now, when?

    Thanks, Gubbs!

It occurred to me that I kind of painted myself in a corner, so to speak. Going out at sweet light time like that several days in a row. It was an accident, I swear, smile.

But it sure gave me some good landscapes and now I am kind of stuck with sweet light, or the expectation there of.

The seashell and sunrise, I woke up at 5 AM, don't think that will happen often.

So, I am not thinking I can do much of a follow up here, but I am pleased myself.

thanks for stopping and commenting and all, gubbs!

I'm not sure...they're both nice although I seem to like the first one better. It all depends on what mood you are trying to convey. The first one seems more peaceful and the dominance of one color and subtle changes in hues seems to reinforce the composition. That said, the nice contrast and vivid colors on the second one is nice too.

Usually I try to sleep on it and look at the pictures again the next day. Sometimes I change my mind then but other times it doesn't change...if I don't change my mind then I know I did it right. :):

Very nice set. 4 great images to be proud of. I am very impressed by them all. Prints of these would sell in my opinion.

The rework on the second one looks a bit over processed to me. I think you were right on the mark with it the first time.

Thanks fo sharing these, I enjoyed them.

Gosh, I've been away too long. Ginger, you are doing some wonderful stuff. All beautiful colors.

You know, it's funny that people go for theat second shell picture and neglect the first one. The second one is a great shot, but I think there is something special about the ripples in the water in the first one. The ripples of the shell repeat the ripples of the water. I like it. I like all of them. And I like your "poster" presentation. Very slick. thumb.gif
