Web spider and a bumble bee

Witnessed this struggle going on on the leg of a sun chair in the garden. The web spider had the upper hand but seemed timid in delivering a coup de grace. Not sure of the spider species.

No I didn't watch anymore after the shots but 30 mins later the bee had disappeared- think these spiders tend to take their prey back to a hidy hole.
