Thank you very much for viewing and for your warm comment, Wally. This was a part of a 5-image assignment to interpret the word "curves" on another photography forum. I'll be posting the other four later. thumb.gif:D

At first I thought the b/w but then the color started showing me character. I don't know which I like better - I 'think' the color. ;)

I like them both but for me, the B&W version tells a better story...

Beautiful work with lighting control, my friend. I like them both.....but prefer the color version because it brings out the beauty of the wood.thumb.gif

I've wondered where you've been. Giving another forum benefit of your expertise, eh?

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Love them both, Jiro.
The second picture is much more appealing to my eyes.
    Great job as usual.

Thanks, Tom. Personally, I hit the plateau on my photographic journey for a time now. I can't find some inspiration whatsoever so what I did is to immerse myself reading books and helping some of my close photography friends form a group with same purpose of finding their vision and capture it in their work. When they presented an assignment of interpreting the word "curves" the thought of shooting a violin instrument immediately came to me. As usual, armed with your flash unit gift to me and my old, trusty NikonD70 I tried to capture the curvy lines of the violin and this is what I came up with. Hopefully, with the 3 books that I am reading right now I will find some more new inspiration to work on. Kind regards, too my friend.

Here are the rest of the 5-image assignment:

    The Scroll.

Not in my dreams, Juano. This is where I started to learn photography. thumb.gif:D
