Some quick shots of the summit of Mauna Kea (Big Island of Hawaii) as our pilot took us straight over the top.

Not great but I wanted to share what I think is an unusual view.

Taken with my Fuji Z1 ultra compact.

The last one I through in is from La Jolla, Ca of a parasailor. I went there for the weekend on business. Again from my Fuji Z1.

Thanks for looking.

    Those are really cool!

Thanks for sharing them. We have those parasailors, whatever, but I have never been to Hawaii.

    You must travel a lot.

    Nice shots from a plane,

Beautiful shots! Nice clear day on the mountain.

I took this from the inside of the Keck 2 telescope. It's the lower of the matched domes on the right side of your pictures.

Nice shot! I've lived here for almost 20 years and have been to the top only 3 times and have never been in any of the "domes".

Usually the way it is. When you live in an area you seem to never do what the tourists do which is a shame. You miss out on a lot of good stuff that way.
