the last 2 months or so the skip duplicates is not working for us. if i stop the uploading and then try to resume it re-grabs all the photos again and uploads the duplicates

unfortunately I had the same thing happen to mine.
I uploaded about half my shots and had to stop and then when I selected the entire album off my computer to continue to upload to smugmug and hit skip duplicates, it did not skip them.
Then I had to go through a large album to try and delete the duplicates--did I mention it was a large album?

The uploader initially checks the gallery for the filenames when you launch the uploader, and again each time you launch the uploader from the gallery. But, if you are mid-upload, it can't check for duplicate filenames again until you go back to the gallery. So, if you have upload failures, try simply clicking "I'm done Uploading" to go back to the gallery, and then click the Upload button again. Drag in your entire folder of images, and the uploader should detect the duplicates normally, uploading only the missing images. I hope this helps!

I've found a shortcut to this is initially launch the uploader full-screen and then refresh the page to reload the uploader. thumb.gif

Try closing the browser and re-launching the whole process. And be sure to give it a few minutes to get the photos into the album before trying again. It will duplicate images that are still in processing if you upload them again.

    me too.
I had actually left smugmug and came back later to continue to upload. I wasn't sure which ones uploaded so I clicked on all and made sure the "skip dups" was on, but it did not skip them. I have only had this happen once as I usually upload all at one time.

I tried the simple uploader a while back and didn't like it as it doesn't skip duplicates, so I don't think this is a new problem.

fixed the issue. i selected another browser temporarily. cancelled using it and reselected simple again. now simple is rejecting the duplicates again.

it must have reloaded itself again properly working this time.

I've never had an issue with simple unless it's not reloading and fetching the album information. ne_nau.gif You may have to reset your browser completely back to factory. Or I'd try html5 or flash and see if that's any different.
