I came *this close* to visiting Japan, finally, this year. Your photos already make me regret I couldn't make it. Maybe next year, if the tourism agency goes through with that airfare giveaway.
I love this shot for the culture and out-of-time feel it displays. The child's expression also intrigues me. It's the style of the foreground gentleman's glasses that tell me this is actually modern day and not the Edo period or something--just a subtle hint, and just enough.
Thanks for the insightful comment. That is really too bad you were not able to come over to Japan. It really is a great place to visit and shoot, especially in the springb and fall! Hopefully you can make it over next year. If you have any questions let me know.
