What do these seed pods look like at real size? And what are they?

These are nearly 1:1 I think.

They are about the size of a large cucumber, standing upright. Some change to an orange color. They grow out of the base of some sort of palm. I'll get pics of the rest of the plant when I return to this location Tuesday, and hopefully a name.
