using watermarks other than on smugmug

hi all,
So I finally got a watermark up and running on smugmug.
My question is if I download a photo from smugmug to my computer and then say want to upload it FB/flickr anywhere but smugmug, will it not transfer the watermark over with the photo then?
It doesn't seem to save the watermark. Is it meant only for smugmug?

    All the display sizes have the watermark so if that's what you downloaded it will have the WM. Only the original does not have a WM.

    ok I logged out and then brought up my album again. When I right click on the image and save it, it will bring my watermark with it to my computer and therefore I can upload it elsewhere with my watermark intact--which is great. But when I save it to my computer by clicking on the little envelope on the right of the image, it will not download the watermark. Why is that?

    It is the original that's saved and the originals do not have the watermark, only the generated display copies.
