How do you save changes to a gallery template

I created a gallery template and applied it to 5 galleries. Now I want to make one change to that template so all future galleries made from that template will have this change. I can't figure out how to save a change to the template. The only thing I could figure out was to delete the template and then re-create it from scratch.

There's a save button, but that only appears to save the current gallery's settings. There's a save new template button that makes you enter a new template name and doesn't update an existing template if you enter the existing template name.

Any ideas how to save a change to a template?

    Missing "Update Template" feature

Yes, saving a new template is the work-around. I was hoping I was missing something, but I think there's just a missing feature. There should be a way to "Update an existing template".
