Rolling Fog and the Golden Gate Bridge

Here is a second set of photos from my San Fancisco trip. I really enjoyed watching the fog move around the bridge. However it also seemed like it was teasing us and threatening to engulf the entire scene before a planned night shoot of the city through the bridge. The originals are all sharp. For some reason they appear more dull when posting here.

We also got to watch a Blue Angels air show over the Bay:

Then it cleared just before sunset and gave way to a beautiful night:

That sailboat being there really makes #2! Good catch with the Blue Angels. With the first pic, you might consider cropping out the tree at the bottom, which distracts the eye from the subject.

#2 is wild. Great photos, but that's by far my favorite.

This is the kind of fog SFBA photographers dream of getting! I love these.

Wonderful set. The second shot is my favorite, the sailboat adds something special.

2 & 3 are sort of classic. Great composition in 4.

#2 is the standout for me. Nice that you got to be there for fleet week

Thanks all. When I arrived during fleet week and looked at the bridge I was more surprised by the cool looking fog than the planes. I've seen fog in SF before but never this intermingling of light. Then at sunset the fog lifted and we got the full moon rising over the GG. It was quite a day, one which I won't forget easily. I'm looking forward to going back and happy to live only 2 hours away.
