Above is one of my favorites, I just like it, like how the bird is in the air, and other things. I got the creek just right there, IMO. It is full frame with the top cut off, I have the full frame on smugmug:
Above: 10/16 at Pitt St bridge. Just a typical suburban scene here in suburbia :rofl . Actually I don't know what kind of bird it is. I think I was waiting on another one. A Great Blue Heron I never got.
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Super.
Pitt Street Bridge: just a little padding, ok, they were in the air. 10/16
Above Pitt St bridge, but yesterday morning 10/19
Causeway from Sullivan's Island (beach) to the Pitt St bridge yesterday (10/19)
above and below. I think this is the same bird, same flight at different points, ass backwards. I had the dogs in the car, one bird.......when it was gone, I shot it like this and went to the Pitt St Bridge where there was ONE more egret and the Night Heron.
Below: left dogs in the car for a very long time, bird finally took off completely with its back to me. I am starting to like butt shots. We do have one on the dGrin banner. However, I didn't use one unless the head was showing.
I know I missed a day, the day I went back to McClellanville to get a sure thing: old shrimp boats surrounded by birds. I actually watched one come in w/o a single bird, along with some other boats same way. The birds were gone, not there, kapoot. And I drove an hour for that.
I stopped at Moore's landing, where I had gotten a flight shot before. I waited on an egret for hours, and I mean that literally. Someone finally came up with a kayak and spooked him. He flew with his back to me. Thoroughly disgusted, I went to go back to the car, I turned around to watch something else, I saw the D bird had moved again, so I trudged back and waited another hour..........
I have no bird shots from that day. Perhaps I will dig one up.
6:30 Thurs evening 10/20.

I am including the angst here, the frustration, the time put in. The time the dogs spent in their crates.
Also the reason I have scenics from everywhere, some I have not shown yet. Sunsets, moon rises, moon sets, and a sunrise..............all on the hunt for birds.

Above is the bird I stalked for hours, many! Only frontal, in any way, flying shot I have of the little bast, uh, bird....
However, while waiting: PELICANS, the ubiquitous pelican.......
That is the front of the group of pelicans appearing to fly towards me. That is as close as they got.
I did rest today. I am not sure that covers every day. The night at the Pitt St bridge, it appears to be missing, and I know that this does not fit, it shows no background, but I cannot let it be said that I was a slacker in this here endeaver.............
so on 10/18, I got this!
As into the sunset the Ibis go every night.
ginger, in a bit I will decide my entry. Just a week of shooting.......not to be said that I did not try IMO.
wish I had as many going for #1 but I can't seem to take my long glass off!!
Anyway my choice is this one

However, I can see why you would pick that one, it has grown on me in the few hours I have had it. JUst goes to show that I really should work up everything I shoot, as I can't tell squat about my photos when I take them, when I get home, etc.
However, Harry said to put up any old shots I want to talk about........well, I have nothing to say.......... I can type for hours, but not about a shot, not unless it is just hours old.

You really have some outstanding shots in this collection. The one with the sailboat really caught my attention. Really excellent work.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks, Harry, that means a lot coming from you! (and anyone else who has said it, smile)
