A magazine wants to purchase some youth sports photos of mine, including the team picture. Does the magazine have to get releases from all the parents of all the players?
I think I've heard something about if there are more than 5 people in the photo then this is no longer required as it is considered a public gathering with no expectation of privacy.
Another factor is that the magazine is based in Germany, but the publisher is an immigrant here in the US and his son is on the team in question. Do American laws even apply?

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
