I'm fairly green at shooting college football. I usually shoot Hs FB in caves. so, believe it or not, I had trouble with the bright sunshine... not used to it. Here's a set from the Duke-FSU game on Saturday. The game was a little one-sided.

C&C is appreciated...especially comments on my position on the sidelines in relationship to the play.

Thanks for taking a look,
Chris

The biggest problem I see with most of your pics is the cropping. To many body parts cut off the make them look like amputies. You need to shoot more vertical as in all but #4. And they are a little soft other than that not bad.

fThe shots look very sharp to me. What lens were you using? Some have a focal length of 380.

I was using a D300 and Sigma 120-300 with a 1.4 TC. I'm not too happy with the AF on the lens. It's a bit slow for field sports. I must say that it made me pay closer attnetion to where and how I was shooting.

    thanks for the comments.
