Interesting idea - not sure if the spray adds or detracts from the shot.

Nice visual effect , but why ?

Background too distracting for eyes to focus on the subject !
But the more times I look ay it , the more I like it :D

-When I successfully take series of photos and the insect is still "cooperative" something in me(:D) forces me to try some "unconventional" methods to get a unusual photos. I think I'm on the right track and it's worth to tray to improve this technique.

My question is mundane. I looked at your earlier posting. I want to know how the &^#@ you set up a tripod, adjust that wonderful but slow geared head, get the reflector set up, and then grab a spray bottle, all while the bug just sits there. My bugs are neither so patient nor so unfrightened. Or maybe I am just a lot slower.

BTW, I think you are the person who recommended that Manfrotto geared head. I bought one and love it, but I use it for flowers, which stay put. And on your earlier posting, #3 is my favorite because of the backlighting.

Paddler4, I do not think I'm faster than you - it's just a question when you get up from bed :D
Insects are cold blooded, as are fish and reptiles and if you find them early in the morning success is guaranteed!
They stand still until they warmed up and that condition should be used ;)
This butterfly has stood still for more than half an hour (at 10°C at dawn)

Here are some more photos made that day :)
