beautifully captured! I will be in Yosemite next week as a first timer, may you suggest any nearby places where I could see some of these fall colors? i heard most of the trees there are ever-green. thanks

The trees within the Yosemite National Park are mostly ever-green with very little fall color. However if you cross over the park to the eastern side of the mountains (Take the CA 120/Tioga Pass Rd) to Hwy 395, you will get to the colors. This coming weekend is supposed to be the peak as far as color goes so you are going at the right time. Check out http://www.sacbee.com/2011/09/22/3931505/interactive-map-fall-leaves.html This will give you the locations were you can find good foliage. You can click on the leaf icons to get a popup that can give you directions to the exact location.
