Thanks! ISO was 8000 at 1/800-2.8.
As usual, great job. I love your WR shots. I always struggle with receptions. I usually am focused on the QB/RB and the line of scrimmage and by the time I swing around, I am not able to get my focus in line.
When you get these reception shots, have you predetermined that you are going to focus on the WR during that play?
Thanks for sharing and for the help that you have given me.

I used a program called DXO to batch process these. I am using a Sigma 120-300 which is a little soft wide open, so I apply a more aggressive pre-set sharpening setting which pulls the soft edges together.
It's kind of like reading the QB's eyes. If he looks downfield and I see a WR I will swing around and follow the WR. It is pretty much luck to get those shots. For quick hits it's really hard, but for longer passes it works sometimes. .
Well, I am really poor at WRs. I really have to predetermine that I am going to follow the primary receiver on a specific play to have a shot at a good photo.
I missed an awesome catch Friday night where the receiver reached over the DB and made the catch. I was kicking myself. On another one I was focusing on the RB/QB and they did play action and then dropped back. I hurried and trailed the WR and this is the shot that I ended up with... Of course, I missed even getting the ball in the frame...

For every one good shot, I get several more like that. Another thing I do is if I know I have good shots of the QB rolling out I will look downfield and try to guess which WR will be thrown too.
