My interest is very new in photography. I have only been actually taking pictures for about a month. I have fun with it even though I am not very good. I would like some advise at things I could do to make myself better. I was not the photographer at my friends wedding, but I did use the opportunity to practice. I thought I could post a couple to get some advise on how to better myself. These pictures have not been cropped or edited but here it goes and go easy on me guys.... =0) Well, the second image was cropped some...

Your images show as broken links, I don't think you pasted them correctly.

The best advice for any new or aspiring photographer is to learn how to use lighting in all situations. Learn how to use your camera and its settings to be able to capture the best images possible. Photography is basically the study of light, and I would say that this is the most important aspect of the artform to learn and master.

I'm not sure what kind of camera you are using? DSLR? What kind of lenses?

Search for training avenues that fit in with your budget to learn from professional resources. If going to school is out of the question, perhaps a couple classes? There are scores of books written about photography, alot of them bad, many good, a few that are great. I'm sure some of the others can offer their thoughts which are the best. Look at other photographer's work, and ask a lot of questions.

Most of all, whatever your ambitions as a photographer, have fun! We never stop learning and getting better at our art.

Thank you so much... The reason I am just starting photography is because I have been going to school for education. I have a teaching job and I am now finished with school so I am preparing to go back for some classes at a local community college. Thanks again for your help and could you recommend a good author for a beginner?
