Views/Popularity

Hello:

So I have been following my album's and their photo views/popularity and I have a Question.....How can my photo views/popularity go up/down from day to day......some numbers change and some don't. Call me crazy but wouldn't the numbers remain consistent and only go up if they were viewed more times?

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what is up with this? Can someone elaborate?

So you've seen the numbers for a previous day go down?

Yes....I even took a screen shot of it as I didn't know what was going on and I continuously check and they vary.......why is that?

I dunno. Post a screen shot each day so we can all take a look. I'm very, very curious. I don't check my stats each day, but if you're checking the same stuff I am, then I'll start checking mine too.

That screenshot is missing the most important information - the date. If you look at the top left of the stats screen, you see the timeframe for the stats. That defaults to about the last 30 days. So it's normal for there to be fluctuations as the timeframe adjusts each day as you don't get the exact same number of hits each day. It also depends on the time of the day you check as when you check in early in the morning, you likely won't have a lot of hits for the current day yet. If you check in the evening shortly before the day is over, there will be more hits naturally for that day.

That screen is popularity, which may differ from day to day. Try checking 'Total Views' and see if you see the same thing.

The prior shot was from 10-29-11......this shot is from 11-1-1

This makes perfect sense as the popularity varies for a given time span. Try looking at Total Views from day to day. This should remain constant.
