Racetrack, Death Valley

One dry lake bed at Death Valley is the home to the mystery of the moving rocks.. Several rocks, as large as basketballs and hundreds of pounds in weight have been moving around the playa for eons, leaving tracks in their wake... Nobody has ever seen them move, but clearly they do...

Very nice, Larry. Looks like there's a lot of rocks out on the playa this year.

Really? I'm surprised someone hasn't done a really long timelapse and recorded the motion. It's gotta be painfully slow, but over the course of a few months I bet you'd see it.

The first thing you see is the "Grandstand" out in the middle of the lakebed.. It's pretty cool by itself...
