So this is my first real effort at a setup portrait, 20D on tripod with 420EX for fill. Mostly I'm looking for general advice on how to improve or any PP tips to improve the shot you're seeing. My own distractions are some hot spots on the faces, the wrinkled red shirt and the nearly blown out sky in the upper right... But all in all I'm pleased and I know they were ecstatic about the whole shoot.

And I'm trying out click for EXIF.

    family portrait
    Hi,

Great expressions. Would have had the guy in the red shirt lift his chin a teeny bit. And like you said the hot spots on the faces.. Also I might have had the two women in the middle and the taller guys on either end for a better flow, but that is pretty minor. All in all not bad. I'm sure they're very happy.

Agree with the distractions, Jazzy, but I think you did really great here, especially their expressions and the fill flash.

    Thanks for sharing!
    Take care!
