I am trying to upload w/o success.
I checked all the usual spots - no warning, but my upload speeds are glacial. Seems like confirming image is taking extra long.

I know the time SM is down is small, but my chances of me hitting it are almost 100%! I always seem to have issues with uploads or downloads. I didnt know Sunday morning was problematic, but isnt this when many pro's do their work?

Have you written to the Help Desk to report your problem? You'll get faster results that way.

Not necessarily true. One needs to know if its on our end or SM end. If everyone has an issue, then writing the help desk does no good.
I wish SM was more consistant about warning of issues.

What good is the status page when it shows all is well, when Smugmug is down, yet again.
Seems to be a pretty common thing lately. I've been a member for 7 years and could count the number of downtime periods I noticed on one hand for the whole of the first 6 years...but this year (particularly the past few months) it feels like everything is getting progressively worse.
The HTML5 uploader doesn't load from fireFox. My Lightroom uploader times out. The simple (java) uploader uploads the file fast, but takes forever to confirm each file, so stalls at three files.
Help!
Yeah, some files won't load at all and many of the ones that do make it are back in the dreaded "processing image" feature again. Smugmug may not be in read only mode now, but it is still unusable, so it is still down and the status page still says all ok.

What good does writing support heroes do when the entire site is down, yet again?

Files spend about five minutes each trying to upload before timing out.
Just curious if SM servers are either impacted by the snow in the NE or by lots of Halloween uploads?
I was able to upload my Halloween event to FB just fine but prefer to use SM.

Something needs to be developed on SM's backend that automatically watches the little things like the queues and then triggers the status updates automatically--for large queue backlogs for example. Or just make it one person's job to sit there and watch everything. This way, SM knows about the issues before we do and the status is accurate to the second. I know this would alleviate some of the frustrations as a user.
