I have to admit that I didn't....had never seen one.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Well, Don, I'm going to declare you a winner. These things are butterfly houses. I never knew there was such a thing. I ran across them in Blowing Rock, NC, at a small plant nursery. That area has a rather large population of butterflies and these houses for them are a big seller. You see them in use all over the place....particularly in landscape themes centered around lots of flowers.

Boy, Tony, you're right about that. I wish I had a dollar for every hour I've set my butt on one of the park benches overlooking Main Street....just watching the world go by.

Aw, come on now, Sam. I believe you. Hell, I bet you could even tell me which species of butterflies prefer these houses. Not a doubt in my mind.:D

While the Hemiargus thomasi is the species that most appreciates this type of dwelling almost any common butterfly will use it.
