Antelope Slot Canyon - Yes again :-)

For those that haven't had the chance to walk through a slot canyon here are a few shots from a highly accessible and photographed one just outside of Page Arizona near Lake Powell.

A wide wash dumps into this narrow slot when it floods. Not a place you want to be when storms are nearby.

Once inside you wander through the narrow passageways cut out of the sandstone by the water and take in all the beauty of the constantly changing light.

So if you are ever in the area, don't miss the opportunity to experience Antelope Canyon.

Very nice series. #4 is tops with me.

    Thanks for the feedback.

When we were working on getting #5 I captured the Ghost of Antelope Canyon.

Look down on the lower right of the falling sand, just above the rock edge. rolleyes1.gif

Nice stuff Brad. The texture and tones in #2 make that my favorite. Did you get into Upper Antelope as well? I've been wondering what the crowds have been like.

Thanks guys. My wife and Son had never seen the canyon so that motivated me to go back.

I tried the upper but they were jammed with people and only let photogs go in on their own on certain schedules which were off our time line.

I'll post up a thread on where we went after antelope. :D

So many great shots in these sets. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I haven't made it up there yet. I am always in awe of the pictures I see from there. Love the ghost face shot..awesome!

Thanks Natalie. I like how the rock wall above that shot almost has facial features. Maybe there are two ghosts down there. :yikes
