Cindys' History Lesson

At the end of our Roman shoot we found this great little niche with a single window in a stone wall. Just as something different, we decided that Cindy should become the Empress Agrappina.

For those who didn't study in High School, Agrappina was a former courtesan who became Roman Empress by marrying Claudius, successor to Caligula. An overly ambitious lady of her time, she eventually got tired of waiting for Claudius to kick off so she helped ease his way to the Elysian Fileds in 54 AD. Her son became Emporer, a cute little tyke named Nero who eventually got tired of mom trying to run things.

Cindy shows how it all ended up.

Agrappina's laurels are gone now but she did get a room with a view.

Nice concept. It would be interesting to see how the scene would look if you blasted a strobe through the window (maybe gelled nice and warm?) and then let the interior go darker with just a bit of fill. Just an idea....

Your idea is a good one except for the fact that outside that window it's 25 feet down. That's one LOOOONG camera stand.
I did approach your concept with the vignette which I used to try to bring out the feel of a closed in prison cell.

Hmmm....That would be a heck of a stand. I guess you could try some clamps or a lot of gaffer tape and mount it straight to the wall. And then hope a big gust of wind doesn't send your strobe falling 25 feet!

All seem off to me, legs too short. Wide angle lens with greater distance of lens to legs creates an
impression of short legs. Think would be much better if camera angle was much lower.
