I'm planning to be there tomorrow and (hopefully) capture Kelly Slater's 11th world title. The weather should be great, and the waves good.

You captured some nice action but it looks like you cropped rather heavily. What were you shooting with?

Good luck tomorrow. Parking is hell; try to get there 8am, the restaurant has a guard (no parking). I found that the wind (NW) tends to bring them to the southern part of the course; might be a good place to set up.

I shot with D700S, Siggy 300 2.8 +1.4, handheld. I crop 5' waves tightly, just my style. Now Mavericks is a different story :)

BTW check the tides. I was there at 10am when tide started in, the walls were very good and the early light was excellent

    Good shooting
