Wasnt sure where to post this thread but yea.

My main shutter command dial of my Nikon D2x seems to be fairly unresponsive at times, needing two to three clicks (or turns, what ever you want to call it) for it to change anything. Sort of like its skipping..
All other dials are perfectly responsive though.

Has anyone had a similar issue like this before? Tips for cleaning the dial perhaps?

I am unsure which dial you are talking about, but any dial that is "skipping" functions is either dirty or needs to be replaced (faulty).

You might try a can of compressed air (it's not really air), Dust-Off, Dust-Pro, or similar, to see if you can dislodge dust or hair that might be on the contacts. Understand this may even make matters worse, so proceed with caution. Always hold the can vertically and "do not shake" the can.

If that doesn't help, or if it makes matters worse, send the camera in to an authorized Nikon service center. They will probably replace the part. They should give you an estimate before attempting the repairs.
