Highly encouraged by the recent works of my good friend Rob Mars-bar shooting silverwares, I decided to try it out myself:
Nikon D70, 50mm lens, ISO 200, f/22 at 0.8 second.
My main light source is a 60-Watt REVEAL light bulb firing on a 24" X 24" plastic film (white garbage bag) at a 45 degree angle from the plate. This is my first try and I guess it worked! ;D I will definitely study this process more to refine the composition and exposure. Thank you as always for viewing.

Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Thanks, Eia. I was encouraged to try this type of shots when I saw the work of Rob Marshall. I got an idea on the setup so I decided to mimic it using ordinary stuff just for fun and for learning purposes. Learned another new stuff in the process.

Thanks, Mary. You can prevent the blown out highlights by referencing your exposure using the histogram on your camera. Just make sure that the curve is not touching the right side boundary of the histogram and you're fine with your exposure. Hope this helps.
