portfolio image selection: which wreck to add?

I'm trying to put together my portfoilo for summer internships at the moment and I can't decide which of these indy car wrecks to include. The first one is less timely (2010) and has the carbon shattering and the fireball but I cut off the nose of the car which bothers me. The second photo was taken this year at the 500 but doesn't have the wow factor of the previous image. i feel like i can only have one and I can't decide so think you could help me out?

Consider cropping the rear wheel similar to the front, just to see if you're more happy with it
