It was 1917. I'd like to see the Sox win, too. But Bagwell and Biggio deserve it as well, 2 future hall of famers in their 1st World Series after something like 18 years in the league.

I think this could be a good thing for baseball, enough with Yanks-Red Sox. Even I get sick of it. er...sometimes... :uhoh

Solo Home Run in the top of the 14th and then another run walked in final 7-5 Sox!!!! Astros left 15 runners on base throughout the game.

Longest World Series ever 5.5 hours long. Wonder how many people will be late for work tomorrow?

Live report from the Chicago suburbs


There are fireworks going off all around our house (the bigger personal type - not commercial fireworks, but some of them are very loud or sophisticated).

I just lit off some firecrackers in the back yard myself.

For those who don't have fireworks, they are banging pots and pans or honking their car horns.

There is gleeful screaming also.

All the local channels have nothing on except live scene of partying in the streets of Chicago. This will go on for several hours at least. And it should.

Well, it is madness, I'll tell you. Madness!
