Vault issue with Lightroom

My understanding with the Vault was I could use Lightroom to upload files. Unfortunately, the only files that appear to have been transferred to my vault were ones I uploaded using the upload interface. Even when I create a new gallery from the Vault area, those files that I upload to the new galleries using Lightroom don't appear as part of my "vault" area. Also, the files I uploaded initially through HTML 5 don't appear in Lightroom when I sync. I'm confused and frustrated since it's taken me such a long time to upload a huge number of images yet they're apparently not located in my vault - I've got them locked down so they're not visible to anyone but me. It seems that the vault should be more obvious to use than I guess it is.

Please help me understand if I've missed something. I appreciate the help

Only the default uploaders or MacDaddy upload to the SmugVault. Please see the following link:

Only files uploaded from the Lightroom publisher will appear in the publish folders in Lightroom. Files uploaded by a different uploader will not appear in the Lightroom publisher. Syncing the publisher, syncs the folder structure from your site, but does not recognize images that were not published by the publisher. At this time the publisher does not have the lability to sync the images already uploaded to your site to your Lightroom catalog. This may become a feature in a future Lightroom release, so keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks for the clarification
That helps. I read it before but then I read a dialogue between a couple people that indicated that Lightroom would work with the Vault. Thank you for the quick response. I will handle the upload through Chrome.
