Strange looking 'Referrers'

I have noticed some big spikes in my Stats recently and looking at the list of Referrers I don't particularly like the look of the Russian ones. How do I know someone isn't stealing my images?

Do any of these look familiar or ring any alarm bells? I'm a little concerned and don't want to visit any of the sites as I think I would be asking for trouble. I don't know any Russians.

In the referrers tab, you can click on the number next to a referrer entry to view details. The urls shown in the details, may help you to see where your photos may be embedded.
Images.google.ru is just the Russian version of Google Image search.

Thank you Sebastian. It seems that this is a Russian forum/social network site but when I can connect to it at all I can't find any of my images there (although there are a zillion pages to look through). I wondered if someone was using one of my images as an avatar but it isn't immediately obvious.

You could disable 'external links' in your gallery settings if you want to prevent photos from showing embedded in other sites. Note that this can't be done for chosen sites. You can only disable or enable the feature as a whole.

If you have further questions, make sure to include a link to your site.

Thank you, it may be worth doing that even if it is just for a few weeks to try and put them off!

I'd check out the links, using a web proxy or another computer if need be. I once found a video I shot of a drift race driver embedded on a Thai forum were people were raving about it. :)

Disabling 'External Links' has certainly cured my Russian problem. Of course every picture I have ever linked to in various forums over the years have also vanished so at some point I will have to enable it again and keep an eye on who is looking.

I wouldn't be bothered with this. Some russian found your image on Google and is posting it on his/her blog. Just take it as indound links.
