Finally a KF
The DW and I headed out with the blind today to persue that %#$%^$ elusive kingfisher.
We spotted him on the way in and I managed a couple of long shots.
He finally flew off and we set up out on the point of the cove, after a couple hours he didn't
show. Then as I was adjusting the window he came in and almost landed. Missed him.:cry
We moved to where we first saw him and in not too long he flew back. Trouble was he was out the
other window up over our heads so I released the camera from the tripod and managed to get
a butt shot. He's sitting on the same limb seen in the shot above.
He flew across the cove and landed on an old blind. Don't have enough reach but managed a
couple anyway. You can see the old blind in the first pic.
On the way out we looked back and took one last shot. Alittle artistic effect on this one.
All in all we it turned out to be a great day even though it was overcast and started to rain as
we left. DW even mentioned that we now know where to set up, I think she's looking forward to going back.
All with the 828 and Tcon17.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Last pic is very pleasing. Doesn't focus on the bird, but I like the lines and textures.

The last one I just couldn't throw away, I liked the scene so I applied a bunch of effects. He was about 80 yards away.
