Hi Guys

Sorry I don`t know if you solve this question already.

But my question is:

A friend of me will create for my site a tool for my customers on the android device.

The funtions of this tool should be . Just view my images / albums. A give away from my side in this app should be that every customer can download one of my images on the smugmug site as wallpaper.

Now there is a question how is it with my API Key... I hope the customers don`t receive the rights to download my full resolution of my images, or how its the situation to this ? Sorry my english.. :bow

Is there a possibility to limit the access to my albums as well ? Is it solved with the api ?

If your users will be logging in anonymously, then they will only receive the rights to the images that you specify, ie control in your gallery settings. If they are logging in as you, then make your developer not do that--there's all sorts of havoc that a malicious user could do that way.

you mean I`ve to tell my developer he should develop it for anonymously user.
I think If I don`t give my developer my password to my site he can do nothing more isn`t it ?

edit: Have you maybe some tips what I should tell my developer to implement to my Site-App

You shouldn't have to give your developer anything more than your user name for him to be able to pull the image from the api. In fact, since images appear on your smugmug page, he should be able to pull it straight from there via http versus using the api.

Seems like your developer is as competent as the one I hired.

I send him just my api and my username. Then its ok. I've told him today just this two things and nothing more....
The rest its my own secret...
