On November 4th I took my son to the Scottsdale Air Fair so he could complete his Boy Scout Aviation Badge. An air fair is a great place for photos.

Very nice work, Dave! I really like the processing on #6 and #7. In photo #8, that is a North American T-6 Texan, used as an advanced trainer by the Army Air Force and Navy (as the SNJ) during WWII. It was also used by a number of Allied nations - it was called the Harvard by the British. The one you shot is in the WWII markings of the South African Air Force. From its connections to Great Britain, the air force roundel resembled the RAF colors, with a red springbok replacing the red center circle of the RAF markings.

    Thanks Moose!

I'm not sure what type of plane it is. I wasn't paying close attention when the announcer was talking about it, but I'll bet you are right. I should have recognized the springbok as South African though. Here's a better view of the entire plane.

Very nice work overall. When shooting a prop plane in flight, as in #4, you should shoot at a slow enough speed so as to record prop blur. It makes for a much more realistic picture. But, again, this is a very nice series.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
