Copy gallery to new gallery (not move or collect)

Is there a way to copy an entire gallery along with its gallery settings to a new gallery? I know I can upload all the images again to a new gallery, update the settings, etc. but hoped there'd be a quick way to duplicate and then edit a gallery.

Smugmug does not offer a way to copy a gallery. They allow you to copy one photo at a time and then move the copy to a new gallery (a slow way to make a copy) or reupload. Personally, I just reupload when I need another copy.

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to confirm. I can easily upload all the images again but I have very long captions (it's a photo essay) and I wanted to just retain a portion of each caption. Would be easier to just copy the gallery, delete the part of the caption I don't need in the new one and voila -- rather than copy/paste or retyping. I'll figure out the path of least resistance, thanks again.

There's no automatic function built into SmugMug to shorten a caption that I know of. I'd just select the portion of a caption I want to keep, copy it to the clipboard and then select all of the caption and hit the DEL key to remove it. Paste in the portion that I have in my clipboard and save the caption.

I've actually worked on something that can do this, but it's extremely buggy right now. Still, if you want to try it, PM me and I'll send you a link.
