These are vry nice, but there's a lot you could have done to have made them better. Fill flash would have helped in several cases where the faces seem a tad underexposed compared to the backgrounds. In the cute shot of the girl with the balloons - you really should have been aware, through your viewfinder, that the balloons were in the sun and her face not. A viewer's eye is going to be first drawn to the brightest thing in the scene. In the last shot, a light stand (or voice-actuated holder) with a scrim would have helped cut down the blazing hot light on the hair and allowed a more even illumination of the scene (but the white fence would have made the use of fill flash problematic.)
Your DOF and bokeh are very pleasing, IMO.
I don't know how big you intend to print, but could you crop the balloon shot real severely? I think you'd have a real winner if you could crop so just the lower left quadrant of the lowest balloon was in the frame.

Thank you so much Icebear, I just bought a flash so my next set should improve. This was my third family session and I think I just need practice, because I find it hard to run after young children, think about the light, and the shot all at the same time. Hopefully with more practice the light and composition will get better. Really looking forward to using the flash....Thank you again for those valuable tidbits!
