Mating wasps

I was taking some shots of this queen wasp sitting on a camelia leaf when two wasps appeared nearby and had a mid air fight. The winner promptly approached the queen and managed to couple with her. The male seemed to have a rather relaxed style which the queen seemed to take exception to and she turned round and appeared to start biting the male. The male left very quickly after this.
