Suddenly no more sales - not sure why

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask about this, but here goes, anyway.
I've been a Smugmug pro member for more than ě years and for the first year or so I sold photos in various sizes on a fairly regular basis.
But for some reason I haven't sold a single thing in over a year. I'd hope that the quality of my photos has only got better, and I'm getting plenty of visitors (around 5000 a month).

Could it be my pricing? Am I too expensive? Not that I've bumped up my prices or anything.
Or is there any way that people can download the images without paying? I did notice that the watermarks had disappeared from some images a few months ago, so fixed that, hopefully on all the pictures.

I'd understand it if I just wasn't getitng as many sales. But to have quite a lot and then absolutely nothing at all for well over a year.... it seems a bit odd to me.

My gallery's at http://stevacek.smugmug.com/

Any advice or comments much appreciated.

I would really wonder about whether you're getting the right kind of traffic now. The first four galleries I checked had a bunch of comments on them, but none in the last two years. Apparently, you were getting more of the right kind of visitors back then. I don't see anything structurally wrong with gallery settings or pricing.

Thanks John - I'm not sure how to get "the right kind of traffic". I haven't changed anything since I joined, and most of my traffic comes from Flickr.
But at least it's good to know that the settings and pricing seem okay. I guess there's not much more I can do apart from to try to get more visitors.

    Cheers,

    Steve

Great images are just the first step--driving traffic to them is the second step. Be active in handing out cards and making face-to-face contacts that will bring direct traffic to your site. The more people, the more of a chance you have for a sale. thumb.gif

If flickr is where a lot of your traffic currently comes from, see what the magic element is that brings them, and then flaunt it.
