I like the multilayered effect of #1. Interesting to look at and consider the several levels of focus in your depth of field. The orange background provides a nice base for the picture.
Those are great autumn colours for tree's. I prefer No1 that orange is a great colour, especially with the green. Also like the last shot of the leaves too.
Thanks for input, input seems to have died out, so I put #1 in... we'll see if I decide to swap it out later though before the week is over, probably not though considering how busy this week is for me and I'll be in another state over the weekend But let me know if you disagree on my entry choice!
I like number three from your original set best, this one 2nd best.
I think it's the somewhat abstract pattern of #3, and the uniformity of the orange that makes #3 stand out in my mind. In this one, it is the tease of the tipped angle and the de-focused cars that appeals to me, and the resulting pattern of the two different colored narrow bands below and the wide band above that resonates with my esthetics - or something like that.

I would try to think of making it look different. As in, what will make this stand out among the other 50 leaf pictures submitted by other dgrinners?
hope that helps.

My boss really likes this one despite it being all wierd of an angle. Thoughts?

The cars in the background bug me.
Maybe if you crop off the bottom?
