Heading South eh!

It was -4 celcius at 6:30 this morning, the lake was frozen 20 feet out from shore, the geese were honking, my nose was running, but the shutter finger was working. The trumpeter swans, snow geese, and most Canadian geese, have all but gone. Our days are shorter, temperature is dropping, and the deer are rutting. A typical Northern Alberta fall day!!

    Wow! Those are really nice.
    It's only droping into the 40's here and I can't wait for something colder ..... NOT.

    Thanks for your kind words Allen. I would love too see the geese while they are down in Mexico for the winter actually. :cool

    Hello,

    I really light the gradation of light and the colors on the first one. The birds are almost "floating" on the still water with such clean reflections.

    Hey Tony nice shots,it only seems like yesterday when you and I were shooting the Canada geese comming home on the same lake.Oh yea thanks for inviting me along with you and Dave for the shoot ,whats up didn't want me to see you guys getting into your goose costumes :lol4. I seen some ice on the Redwater River this morning :cry it wont be long now.
    I realy like #1 thats a cool shot for sure....ice

    Hey Tony were you guys standing on the jetty were the float planes dock for the last two shots,kinda looks like it to me.I guess there's not much point in heading over there if the birds are gone now.....ice
    I took a picture once
    but they made me give it back.
