So when you wake up at 5am and can't go back to sleep, just grab your camera and find a sunrise. I've been wanting to shoot this hilltop tree for some time (drive by it everyday to and from work). Hope you like it. Not sure if I like the first with the cloud movement or the second better.

They're both good but I like the second one better. Nice work.

Nice shots. I like the sky colors in #1, but prefer the clouds in #2.

That's great when you have a vision of a particular scene and invest the time to make it happen. They're both great shots. thumb.gif

I too liked the tighter composition of shot #2, but both are great ones. thumb.gif

Yep....both are great. No. 2 is so dramatic. The contrast in color against the silhouette is absolutely stunning. Nice Job!

    Thanks for the comments, everyone!

I agree, the second one just pops a little more due to the tighter comp. It was pretty windy (go figure in Oklahoma), so I was happy they came out so sharp. :D

I prefer the 1st, loving the space around tree, colors and textures in sky

they're both good but i like the 1st one better - the action in clouds gives it more of drama.

The first is my favorite. I prefer the composition - how you didn't center on the sunrise or the larger tree. Great picture.
